DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner\, a long-standing Christian tradition that marks the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. Shrove Tuesday has been observed for centuries as a time of preparation\, reflection\, and fellowship before the Lenten season begins. \nHistorically\, Catholics and other Christians used this day to “shrive\,” meaning to confess and be reconciled\, while also using up rich foods such as eggs\, milk\, butter\, and sugar that were traditionally given up during Lent. Pancakes became the natural solution\, and for hundreds of years they have been eaten on Shrove Tuesday across Europe and beyond as a simple\, practical\, and communal meal. \nToday\, the tradition continues as a joyful gathering that brings people together at the threshold of Lent.
