About This Vote
This summer, we will be undertaking a significant restoration of the interior of our church, including refinishing the pews, replacing the flooring, repairing plaster damage, and repainting the entire interior. During this process, the church will be fully emptied and filled with scaffolding to allow tradespeople to complete the work.
As part of this restoration, an additional opportunity has been proposed: the incorporation of sacred art on the church ceiling. This enhancement would not be funded from the existing restoration fund but would require a separate fundraising effort. The estimated cost of this artwork is $150,000, and we are pleased to share that over 20% of this amount has already been pledged.
Over the past year, Fr. Paul has received feedback both in favour and against this proposal. In light of this, we are asking you, the parishioners of St. Patrick Parish, Fallowfield, to decide through this vote.
Eligibility and Confidentiality
- Eligibility: Parishioners 16 years of age or older are eligible to vote.
- Verification: To ensure a fair process, we require voters to provide their name and email address. Each voter will receive an email confirming their vote has been registered.
- Confidentiality: All votes will be tallied anonymously. Once the verification process is complete, any data associating names with votes will be permanently deleted.
- Deadline: Voting will be open until the end of Wednesday, February 19th, 2025.
