Today, our parish gathered for a special luncheon to honor Leah Moore, our cherished Sacraments Administrator, who is retiring after seven dedicated years of service. The event was a heartwarming celebration of Leah’s remarkable contributions and her unwavering commitment to our community.
Fr. Paul, on behalf of the office staff and parishioners, shared a touching note expressing gratitude for Leah’s service:
“It is with heartfelt gratitude that I, the office staff, and parishioners extend our thanks to Leah Moore who has been a member of the parish staff since the spring of 2017. Leah is retiring after seven years as our Administrative Assistant and valued colleague in pastoral work. Taking on new and challenging responsibilities from her first days in the office, Leah worked tirelessly and effectively creating and sustaining ministries and outreach, assisting parishioners in person, on the phone, and by email. Ever cheerful and always helpful, Leah has been a welcoming presence to those who came to the office requesting Mass intentions, were preparing for sacraments, or looking for information of all kinds (parish history, the cemetery, baptism certificates, etc.).
Leah has been a tremendous source of encouragement and help to me and to the parish and parishioners throughout her time in our office, but especially during the pandemic and the gradual re-opening of the church and all that that entailed. We have been blessed to have Leah in the office and as a member of our parish team. On behalf of the staff and parishioners of St. Patrick Parish, I wish Leah a wonderful, happy, and fulfilling retirement.
With Leah’s retirement, we are now welcoming Anita MacNeil, a long-time member of our parish, who will be taking on the role of Sacraments and Parish Life Coordinator. With this title, Anita will be overseeing the many aspects of sacramental preparation (baptism, reconciliation, Eucharist, confirmation, and marriage) that take place in our parish. As Parish Life Coordinator, Anita will oversee the day-to-day administration of the office ensuring that the needs and requests of parishioners are addressed and met. And while we are sad to say farewell to Leah, we are happy to welcome Anita to the office team. I know you, the parishioners of this great community, will extend to Anita your own words of welcome as she takes up her new role in our parish.”
We wish Leah all the best in her retirement and look forward to welcoming Anita MacNeil as she steps into her new role. Thank you, Leah, for your years of dedication and service—you will be greatly missed!
