Becoming Catholic

Are you curious about the Catholic faith and want to explore it further? Consider joining our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) program. Participating in RCIA doesn’t mean you’re obligated to complete the process. If you’re interested in learning more about Catholicism, you’re welcome to join us.

RCIA offers a chance to learn about the teachings and traditions of the Church and to experience its rituals, which reflect the community’s support and joy. This journey is for:

  • Those who have never been baptized as Christians.
  • Those baptized in other Christian denominations who now wish to explore Catholicism.
  • Those baptized Catholic but who have not yet received the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation.

To get started, contact our Parish Office and speak with our priest.

If you’re Catholic and know someone who might be interested, we encourage you to invite them gently. As Pope Francis reminds us, “We do not proselytize.” Instead, we share the message of the Gospel and extend an invitation.

The R.C.I.A. is a sacred process that guides adults seeking spiritual answers into full communion with our parish and the Catholic Church. Participants engage in educational, spiritual, and social activities, discussing their faith journey and Church teachings. The process culminates in the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist) during the Easter Vigil Mass.

Reflect on these questions:

  • Have you been attending Mass with us but haven’t yet become Catholic?
  • Have you recently returned to the Church and want to learn more?
  • Have you been Catholic but haven’t received all the Sacraments of Initiation?
  • Have you joined us from a different faith background and want to explore Catholicism?
  • Do you feel God might be guiding you toward the Catholic Church?
  • Are you a friend or family member of someone interested in learning more about the faith?

If any of these questions resonate with you or someone you know, we’d be delighted to assist on your journey. Contact us for more information!

We also offer preparation for children who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in other Christian churches and wish to join our Catholic community and receive the Sacraments of First Eucharist, Reconciliation, or Confirmation. Please reach out to us for more information.
