Without a team of faithful parishioners to assist in various ministries throughout the parish, we would not have such an amazing community. Please contact the office if you are interested in more information about any of the following ministries or committees.
This ministry is open to boys and girls who have received their First Communion and to men and women. Assisting the priest in the celebration of the Eucharistic liturgy altar servers add to the dignity and reverence of the sacred celebration. Servers attend the Sunday Mass of their choice and are welcome to serve at any of the Christmas and Easter liturgies.

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God.
“Our patroness is the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Good Counsel”. We embrace Our Lady as our role model, and pray through the intercession of Our Lady of Good Counsel – whose feast is celebrated on April 26 by the Church in Canada.
The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) Council at St Patrick Fallowfield 994 received its charter on October 7, 1944 and has been an active participant in parish life ever since. We continually welcome new members, and warmly invite female parishioners who are 16 years or older to join in our journey of faith, fun and fulfillment! Any woman interested in joining our organization may contact the parish office.
We hold three major fundraising events in the year: our Pie Sale in the fall, a Christmas stocking campaign in late October and a bake sale in December.
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month (September through June), in the parish hall at 7:00 p.m.
National Council of the CWL (Monthly e-newsletter “Be League”, under Media)
Ontario Provincial Council of the CWL (Twice-yearly newsletter “Trillium News and Views”.)
Ottawa Diocesan Council of the CWL (Twice-yearly diocesan newsletter “Faith in Action”.)
Children’s Liturgy is provided by adult Ministers of the Word for younger children who may not understand the language and meaning of the scripture readings for Mass. Children’s Liturgy is not a baby-sitting service. It is a genuine expression of worship where the children participate in the Liturgy of the Word in a way that is meaningful and suited to children. Children’s Liturgy, for children between ages 4 and 11, takes place during the 9:00 am Sunday Mass.
Collection counters work with the Finance Council to ensure the Sunday and special collections are properly counted and deposited in the bank. Collection counters receive, sort, count, verify, and deposit the collections following the guidelines, protocols, and policies of the Diocesan Administration Manual.
Eucharistic ministers are men and women (ages 16 and over) who assist with the distribution of communion, both the body and the blood of Christ, at the Sunday and holy day liturgies. This ministry arose after the Second Vatican Council when the number of priests and deacons (the ordinary ministers of communion) grew fewer in number. As well as assisting with the distribution of communion the ministers ensure that the chalice and ciboria/patens are cleaned after the liturgy.

St. Patrick Parish is committed to the work of Divine Renovation, that is, transforming our parish from maintenance (doing what we've always done) to mission (evangelizing and making disciples). The Leadership Team, meeting on a weekly basis, assists the Pastor in developing and initiating programs that engage parishioners in their faith and deepen their encounter with Jesus Christ. The Leadership Team, building on the goals set by the Pastoral Council, works to fulfill the Council's vision for our parish: St. Patrick Parish is a vibrant and engaged faith community committed to building up one another in Christ. We are nourished by the sacraments and our shared service to one another and the wider community. Answering the question "How do we do this?" the Team works to create and nurture a community with one another, fulfilling the mandate of Jesus Christ to make disciples.

Lectors as Ministers of the Word proclaim the word of God in the assembly. They prepare the readings through review and practice and by prayer and reflection. This ministry enlivens the printed word. Lectors and commentators share their respective roles as they exercise their ministry in the community. Commentators assist the community by calling the assembly to worship, leading them in prayer, and making known to them important information and events.
If you are interested in becoming a Lector or you have a question about this ministry please reach out to the a contact below:

The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic association of Catholics who, with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Graces, serve the Church and their neighbour on a voluntary basis in about 170 countries. The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation. The St. Patrick, Fallowfield, the Legion of Mary meets on Wednesday mornings in the McGivney Lounge (part of the Monsignor Baxter Parish hall building near the parish office), around 10:00 am, after the 9:00 am Mass and recitation of the Rosary. To join, please come to a meeting.
The Live Stream Team was created at the height of the pandemic and has now become a permanent fixture within the Parish and we are ready to expand our services but do not have the team to accomplish this.
We currently are solely streaming the 11 o’clock Mass and would like to expand our services to include weekday Masses, weddings, funerals, baptisms, other Sacraments or events. This is not achievable with our current cadre of three streamers and an IT specialist.
To that end, the Live Stream Team is looking for volunteers to expand our team and scope. The number of volunteers and their availability will dictate how much we will be able to expand this service.
Volunteers should be comfortable with the Windows Operating system and video/photography experience would be an asset. Training will be provided on the equipment and specialized software used.
If you are interested please contact Rob or Glenn by email by clicking on their name below or pop-up to the choir loft before or after the 11 o’clock Mass

Music Ministry is an integral part of the Sunday and holy day liturgy. Through the prayerful selection of hymns, psalm settings, and liturgical music, Music Ministers lead the assembly in sung praise to God. At St. Patrick Parish there is a guitarist who leads the congregation at the Saturday 5:00 pm Mass, an ensemble and soloist at the Sunday 9:00 am Mass, and a full Choir at the Sunday 11:00 am Mass. The Masses at Christmas and Easter are shared among the three music ministries.
The mission statement of the Parish Finance Council is “to complement and render more effective the pastoral work of the parish through proper administration of the parish. “The Council is essentially a consultative body who assist the pastor in the administration of the parish’s financial matters. Canon 537 stipulates that “in conjunction with the pastor, the Council attends to all the financial affairs of the parish in accordance with diocesan regulations.”
These financial matters include revenue, expenses, investments, bookkeeping, salaries, construction contracts, sales, purchases, personnel matters and the maintenance of the parish property and buildings. The Council oversees the parish books and records, prepares annual income tax returns and financial statements.
The members of the Parish Finance Council are the trustees of the material property of the parish on behalf of all parishioners. It works closely with the Pastoral Council to ensure that the pastoral mission of the parish is effectively achieved.
The current members of the Finance Council are:

Pastoral Care ministers are parishioners commissioned to bring the Eucharist to the sick. Membership in this ministry is open to all who have completed a 10-week Pastoral Care Training Course and have a clear police record check. Pastoral Care is a ministry of presence, empathy, and compassion. Pastoral Care ministers bring the experience of faith community to those unable to attend the Sunday liturgy. This includes the elderly, the disabled, the dying, or the bereaved.
The Pastoral Council is an advisory and consultative group to the pastor. Its purpose is to assist the pastor in carrying out his responsibilities, provide advice and serve as a sounding board for the pastor and his assistants, plan and coordinate the policies and goals of the Parish in accordance with the norms laid down by the Diocesan Bishop, identify the spiritual and temporal needs of the Parish through prayer, reflection and dialogue, endeavour to answer those needs by developing policies and setting goals to build a caring Christian community which values the diverse backgrounds and gifts of its members and to support all members of the parish community.
The current members of the Pastoral Council are:
Members of this committee actively promote participation in diocesan and parish Pro-life activities, such as the Hike for Life, March for Life, and Rose Sunday. This committee organizes on-going education, works of service, and fundraising for pro-life causes and initiatives.
The Refugee Committee, working with Catholic Centre for Immigration and parishioners, prepares for the arrival and support of refugees from around the world. This committee raises funds, collects furniture and clothing, and arranges for resource people to assist the family upon its arrival to Canada. Once the family has arrived the committee members work with the family for the one-year commitment to establish the family in the community.
Sacristans ensure the items used for the celebrations of Mass and Sacraments are clean and in good repair. Sacristans launder the linens used at Mass, ensure the candles are prepared, see to the overall cleanliness of the chalices and ciboria, arrange, care for, and dispose of plants and other decorations, and generally make sure that the sacristy and sanctuary (altar area) are clean and tidy. Sacristans make certain the environment for our sacred celebrations is a worthy one.
Ushers are more than those people who take up the collection at the time of the presentation of the offerings. Ushers are first responders in time of emergency, they coordinate movement within the church and during the liturgy, and they ensure a safe and healthy environment for those who come to worship.
