The Safe Environment Committee is a group within the parish dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all parishioners, especially children and vulnerable adults. This committee is responsible for implementing and overseeing policies and procedures that create a secure environment for all parish activities and programs. Key responsibilities include conducting background checks, providing training on recognizing and preventing abuse, and ensuring compliance with diocesan and legal requirements. The Safe Environment Committee works closely with the Pastor, parish staff, and volunteers to promote a culture of safety and vigilance, ensuring that the parish is a welcoming and secure place for everyone.
